He Who Makes Kittens Puts Snakes in the Grass

The big news on Capitol Hill on Friday is that President Barack Obama is considering appointing pro-life Sen. Judd Gregg of New Hampshire as his Commerce Secretary. While it may appear that Obama is showing common ground on abortion, the move could make it very difficult for pro-life advocates.

The pro-life movement is very concerned about the potential for passage of the Freedom of Choice Act, a bill that would make unlimited abortions the national law and overturn 36 years worth of pro-life state laws that are reducing abortions.

Should Gregg accept a potential appointment, pro-abortion New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch would appoint his replacement.

With a House and Senate controlled by abortion advocates, the only potential for stopping the FOCA bill could be a filibuster by pro-life senators. If Senator Gregg leaves the Senate and is replaced by a pro-abortion lawmaker, that ability to hold up the pro-abortion bill becomes more complicated.

Highly Classified White House Hang Loose Memo

The hoi polloi look in the Oval Office.

His top aides didn't try to conceal the new president's less formal dress code. On the contrary, the White House released a photograph of it.

It's only worth noting because for the last eight years, President George W. Bush made it a standing order that he and his staff would always wear their suit jackets in the Oval Office.

While many of us find Obama's lack of class and etiquette vulgar and cheap, there's a highly classified White House Hang Loose Memo circulating within his group of advisers to brainstorm more POTUS dress down ideas:

- Replace Presidential china for paper plates

- Elbows on the table

- Eating with his fingers.

- Say "aint", "I seen" and "he goes"

- Congressional Pajamas Day

Add the decay of class, respect and dignity to this insufferable assault on the principles of truth and religious freedoms.

Obama, U.N. Population Fund, forced abortions

It's really lucky for Obama that people are so dumbed down, they can only scratch the surface of his soundbytes.

Let's end the political stigma of abortion by tapping into the stream of forced sterilizations and forced steriliations. What a guy.

From Bill Donohue:

On January 24, President Obama said, “I look forward to working with Congress to restore U.S. financial support for the U.N. Population Fund.” He pledged to do this “in the coming weeks,” maintaining that “It is time that we end the politicization of this [abortion] issue.”

Bill Donohue explains the Catholic League’s response:

“The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) claims that it is not pro-abortion. It says that it merely supports ‘reproductive rights.’ Not quite. Starting in 1979, in the first five years of China’s draconian one-child policy, UNFPA gave the program $50 million. To accomplish this goal over the years, which is still ongoing, IUDs have been forced into the wombs of hundreds of millions of women against their will. Indeed, no coercive method is considered taboo, including forced abortion. It was for reasons like these that in 2002 the U.S. State Department blasted China for its affront to human rights. Indeed, Secretary Colin Powell backed the Bush administration’s denial of funds to UNFPA.

“The one-child policy has abetted female infanticide, so much so that there has been a massive decrease in the female population—there are now an estimated 350 million girls missing from China. Other non-white areas of the world where UNFPA concentrates its efforts include Vietnam, Nigeria and Peru. But it can be multicultural: When the genocidal maniac from Serbia, Slobodan Milosevic, wanted to tame his people, he invited UNFPA to help reduce the population of Kosovo; he wasn’t unhappy with the results, nor, of course, the means.

“So here we have it. In the name of women’s rights, UNFPA undercuts women. In the name of eradicating poverty, it eradicates the poor. Moreover, it works closely with anti-Catholic groups. And now Obama wants us to bankroll UNFPA. During a recession, no less. To top things off, he is doing all of this in the name of ending the politicization of issues that he says marked previous administrations. The ironies are as endless as they are priceless.”

Nancy Pelosi - 335 million in "STD prevention" is an economic stimulus

All these people who can't hold themselves back from sleeping with partners with syphilis are causing an economic meltdown.

335 million dollars buys a lot of condoms. I guess to an awful lot of folks in her circles, monogamy just doesn't come easy.

Pelosi is a vulgar woman, lacking class.

Seems to be the new meme of USA.

Archbishop Burke Vicerates the "Catholic News Service" and USCCB "Faithful Citizenship"

Killing two birds with one stone, Archbishop Raymond Burke, the prefect of the Apostolic Signatura, publicly corrects the errors and omissions of Bishops and priests using "Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship" to mislead their flock and the abysmal "Catholic News Service".

"Faithful Citizenship" took a punch in the nose too.
The US bishops’ document, “Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship,” stated that, under certain circumstances, a Catholic could in good conscience vote for a candidate who supports abortion because of "other grave reasons," as long as they do not intend to support that pro-abortion position.

Archbishop Burke, the former Archbishop of St. Louise Mo. and recently appointed head of the highest ecclesiastical court in the Catholic Church, told LifeSiteNews.com that although “there were a greater number of bishops who spoke up very clearly and firmly ... there was also a number who did not.”

But most damaging, he said, was the document “Faithful Citizenship” that “led to confusion” among the voting Catholic population.

“While it stated that the issue of life was the first and most important issue, it went on in some specific areas to say ‘but there are other issues’ that are of comparable importance without making necessary distinctions.”

Archbishop Burke, citing an article by a priest and ethics expert of St. Louis archdiocese, Msgr. Kevin McMahon, who analysed how the bishops’ document actually contributed to the election of Obama, called its proposal “a kind of false thinking, that says, ‘there’s the evil of taking an innocent and defenceless human life but there are other evils and they’re worthy of equal consideration.’

“But they’re not. The economic situation, or opposition to the war in Iraq, or whatever it may be, those things don’t rise to the same level as something that is always and everywhere evil, namely the killing of innocent and defenceless human life.”

Archbishop Burke also cited the work of the official news service of the US Catholic Bishops’ Conference, that many pro-life observers complained soft-pedalled the newly elected president’s opposition to traditional morality.

“The bishops need to look also at our Catholic News Service, CNS, they need to review their coverage of the whole thing and give some new direction, in my judgment,” he said.

This is a pretty impressive interview out of the starting gate.

The Catholic News Service (not to be confused with Catholic News Agency - has long been a rag for those whose life mission has been trying to reinvent those three days in Woodstock.

I take my vocation as a Catholic Mom, seriously. My children, my charges - they were given to me to hold in escrow. There are things that in hindsight, I would do differently. We all have failures, omissions, commissions that have affected or buried "talents" that we could have or should have done a better job with.

I don't ever remember a moment in my vocation as a mother when I took the teachings of the Church and twisted them. I never made an excuse to cover my shortcomings or failings, my sins or to give myself license to do something that opposes the Deposit of Faith because *I* thought or *I* wanted.

I owned up. I saw wrong and tried to right it. Across the board. I'm not afraid to face Christ.

I can't imagine looking out over a congregation I was responsible for - or a diocese, knowing that some women are having abortions and generations from each one of those people have been snuffed out. All the accomplishments and achievements, joys and sorrows of this life wiped out. All those people, in perpetuity, ripped, their "talents" buried with them - because I thought I knew better than the Church and I lied to people Christ placed under my tutelage. All the education and teaching institutions that will now mislead youth into moral ambiguity.

How they hit the pillows without repentance or shame, fear - knowing they will have to face our Beloved, is one of life's greatest mysteries.

The Fugatz over Bishop Williams

'I believe there were no gas chambers' - Richard Williamson in November 2008

The MSM is loving picking up the Bishop William's articulations and making it the meme of Christendom.

This Bishop also has a whole conspiracy theory going about pants. Women's trousers ideologically attack people minds.

This is coming from a man wearing a dress.

I'm actually all for femininity, for traditional roles of women. Further, I fully affirm women choosing to solely dress in dresses in skirts. When women who wear pants are likened to Lady McBeth, I have to get off the bus. Saying there was no holocaust rules out any credibility on any other issue and is a clear sign something has gone awry.

That being said, when you start hijacking the hysteria to claim healing the division between SSPX and the Holy Catholic Church is some kind of insult to the Jews - neither does that rise to the level above fringe. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Let's take it up a few notches, shall we?
The pope said: "While I renew with affection the expression of my full and unquestionable solidarity with our (Jewish) brothers, I hope the memory of the Shoah will induce humanity to reflect on the unpredictable power of hate when it conquers the heart of man." Shoah is the Hebrew word for the Holocaust.

Public Information Request regarding Eric McFadden

January 27, 2009

Via email

Kent Marcus, Esq.
Christine Thompson, Esq.
General Counsel, Gov. Ted Strickland
State Capitol
77 Sough High Street
Columbus, OH 43215
Dear Ms. Thompson and Mr. Marcus:
Please accept this request for information relating to a complaint filed by me in October of 2007 with Kent Marcus and Christine Thompson in Governor Strickland's Office of General Counsel that made allegations that Mr. Eric McFadden of the Governor's Office of Faith-Based Initiatives was a dangerous person - in particular to women. Mr. McFadden used internet resources to threaten, stalk, sexually harass – including using sexual terminology in a perverted and inappropriate manner, compulsively sent communications to me and to others, so numerous and consecutive, that their intention was to intimidate. I reported that given my experiences with Mr. McFadden I was very concerned he was victimizing others and in particular, women.

Within days of my complaint, Mr. McFadden was removed from the OFBI and transferred to the employ of State of Ohio Correctional Facility and shortly thereafter was appointed to Ms. Hillary Clinton's campaign - which Governor Strickland was deeply involve in and was rumored to be Ms. Clinton's first choice candidate for Vice President.

Given Mr McFadden's deranged and dangerous conduct to women, including sexual obsession and solicitation and compulsive obscene postings, compelling prostitution of a minor, pursuant to any and all applicable Freedom of Information and Sunshine Laws of the State of Ohio, I would like to obtain a copy of the following records:
1. Written and electronic communication relating to my complaint, including copies of my communications.
2. Written and electronic records, including actions taken to investigate my complaint, findings of any conducted investigation, emails and internet traffic reports of Mr. McFadden's computer relating to sexual solicitation, implied or overt threats to those he philosophically opposed, instructions to staff and employment decisions made based upon those findings.
3. A detailed written account of Mr. McFadden's hours of employment at the Office of Faith Based Initiatives that chronicles his days of attendance as well as any days he was absent, on vacation or used sick time as this is germane to match against his time and date stamped public postings on the web.
4. Any information relating to the decision to shuffle him into the employ of the corrections system.

I understand that if I seek a copy of this record, there may be a copying fee. Please inform me of that cost prior to making the copy. I can be reached at #XXX-XXX-XXXX or email at cmmckinley@aol.com.

According to the statutes, this request should be acted upon as soon as possible, but in no event later than the third business day following receipt of this letter. If access to the records I requested is going to take longer, please contact me so we can work out a reasonable date.

If you choose to deny the request, then you are required to respond in writing and state the statutory exception authorizing the withholding of all or part of the public record and the name and title or position of the person responsible for the denial.

Thank you for your assistance on this matter.
Respectfully,

Carol McKinley

Faith Based Stalking

Washington Times Inside Blogotics

Faith-based stalking

We reported here last week about the arrest on prostitution charges, some involving the coercion of a minor, against a longtime liberal Catholic activist who was head of Ohio's Office on Faith-based Initiatives during 2007.

Catholic blogger Carol McKinley now asks about the timeline related to her blowing the whistle on Eric McFadden, who had a series of affiliations with liberal Catholic groups — Catholics for Kerry, the Catholic Alliance for the Common Good, and Ohio religious outreach for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's primary bid.

Mrs. McKinley wonders why Gov. Ted Strickland later brought Mr. McFadden onto the Clinton Ohio campaign and what was uncovered by any state investigation of Mr. McFadden's computer use.

"If your employee had a leadership problem in a dinky faith-based outreach operation, you wouldn't recruit him to run the Clinton/Strickland faith-based operation in the important state of Ohio, would you. … Strickland's staff certainly did not act upon what I provided them with because they were skeptical it was some kind of political ploy. They conducted their own investigation of his activities.

"Whatever Strickland's staff found … they shuffled him quickly out of the office for faith based initiatives. To say now that they were ignorant of any suspicious or threatening activity does not comport with the facts on record," she wrote.

It's common sense.

Nancy Pelosi - children are sucking the life out of the economy

Father Tom Euteneur of Human Life International also criticized Speaker Pelosi’s economic reasoning.

“She presents as self-evident the idea that children are a hindrance to improving states' economies. Lies don't become truth by repeating them, they only become more acceptable,” he commented to CNA.

“The problem is, however, that it is sick. We must never reduce a human being to his or her economic value. The Speaker is no more ‘Catholic’ than she is an economic expert,” he charged.

Beware lest any man cheat you by philosophy, and vain deceit; according to the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world, and not according to Christ." (Col. 2, 8)

Lifting of Excommunications of Fraternity of St. Pius X

Working on the foundation that Pope John Paul II laid, Pope Benedict XVI, there is communion between the Holy See and the Fraternity of St. Pius X.

I had been curious to confirm that the Fraternity had finally accepted the supremacy of the Chair of Peter, which had been the stumbling block for many years. They have indeed declared their fidelity.

Pope Benedict XVI has remitted the excommunication of four bishops ordained without papal consent 20 years ago.

A press office statement issued Saturday says that Pope Benedict arrived at his decision after “a long process of dialogue between the Holy See and the Fraternity of Saint Pius X”.

Bishops Bernard Fellay, Bernard Tissier de Mallerais, Richard Williamson, and Alfonso de Galarreta were consecrated without papal approval by late French Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre on June 30, 1988 incurring excommunication latae sententiae.

The excommunication was later confirmed by a decree issued July 1st 1988 by the Congregation for Bishops.

In a letter dated December 15, addressed to Cardinal Dario Castrillón Hoyos, President of the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei, Bishop Fellay, also on behalf of three other Bishops, formally requested the removal of the decree.

In the letter, Bishop. Fellay affirmed the four bishops’: " will to remain Catholic and to place all efforts at the service of the [..] Roman Catholic Church” to accept “its teachings” and most importantly, affirm their belief “in the Primacy of Peter and in its prerogatives”.

Wonderful news.

Vatican Official Calls Obama "Arrogant"

Wait until they meet Doug Kmiec.

I digress.

A senior Vatican official on Saturday attacked US President Barack Obama for "arrogance" for overturning a ban on state funding for family-planning groups that carry out or facilitate abortions overseas.

It is "the arrogance of someone who believes they are right, in signing a decree which will open the door to abortion and thus to the destruction of human life," Archbishop Rino Fisichella was quoted as saying by the Corriere della Sera daily.

Fisichella is president of the Pontifical Academy for Life, one of a number of so-called pontifical academies which are formed by or under the direction of the Holy See.

"What is important is to know how to listen... without locking oneself into ideological visions with the arrogance of a person who, having the power, thinks they can decide on life and death," he added.

Obama signed the executive order cancelling the eight-year-old restrictions on Friday, the third full day of his presidency.

The so-called "global gag rule" cut off US funding to overseas family planning clinics which provide any abortion services whatsoever, from the operation itself to counselling, referrals or post-abortion services.

"If this is one of the first acts of President Obama, with all due respect, it seems to me that the path towards disappointment will have been very short," Fisichella said.

"I do not believe that those who voted for him took into consideration ethical themes, which were astutely left aside during the election debate. The majority of the American population does not take the same position as the president and his team," he added.

I had to read the following sentence three times before I could grasp their context:

The order won Obama praise from Democratic lawmakers, family planning and women's rights groups but drew angry condemnation from pro-life organisations and Republicans.

More than 250 health and human rights organisations from around the world sent Obama a letter, thanking him for ending a policy "which has contributed to the deaths and injuries of countless women and girls."
The deaths of countless women and girls?

1. What about the deaths of the millions "girls" and in fact boys, who die with every procedure?

2. Are they admitting that a cover-up of pedophilia goes hand-in-hand with the abortion industry?

"This deals a harsh blow not only to us Catholics but to all the people across the world who fight against the slaughter of innocents that is carried out with the abortion," another top official with the Academy for Life, Monsignor Elio Sgreccia, told the ANSA news agency.

"Among the many good things that he could have done, Barack Obama instead chose the worst," he was quoted as saying Saturday.

The Catholic Key blog explains how this policy could be even more monstrous than we are led to believe.

The United States could be now be funding the coercion of abortions in countries like China.

Appended to the president's action was a notice in which he said:

In addition, I look forward to working with Congress to restore U.S. financial support for the U.N. Population Fund. By resuming funding to UNFPA, the U.S. will be joining 180 other donor nations working collaboratively to reduce poverty, improve the health of women and children, prevent HIV/AIDS and provide family planning assistance to women in 154 countries.

This action could be even more monstrous than the reversal of the Mexico City Policy. The U.S. government ceased funding the UNFPA after independent investigations found the agency complicit in China's coercive one-child policy - coercion that includes forced abortions.

Following the State Department's own 2002 investigation, then-Secretary of State Colin Powell wrote a letter to Congress saying, "UNFPA's support of, and involvement in, China's population-planning activities allows the Chinese government to implement more effectively its program of coercive abortion."

UNFPA funding has been withheld for that reason since 2002 and the State Department continued to monitor China's coercive "family planning" regime.

I don't think it is far fetched for the Democrats to usher in limits on the number of children a family could have as part of their "eradicate poverty" shtick here in the United States. They have built a bridge that "family planning" is part of government responsible education.

More Chronicles of McFadia

There are some ongoing Developments in the Curious Case of Eric McFadden.

Tom Blumer at Newsbusters throws this question out there:

Given McFadden's heavy use of technology to to conduct his criminal enterprise, has anybody at the Dispatch investigated whether McFadden ever used state resources (telephones, Internet, etc.) while he was employed? Have any Freedom of Information Act requests been filed for all electronic and printed correspondence relating to the McFadden's appointment, his tenure at OFBCI, the circumstances surrounding his transfer to Corrections, or the end of his employment? If not, why not?

It's more than fair to ask what Ted Strickland or other state officials really knew about McFadden, and when they knew it.

Pursuant to this suggestion, I will be filing a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act to ask for information surrounding McFadden's tenure and departure - including copies of all communications and files relating to my complaint that McFadden was a dangerous person & using the internet as his main resource, any actions they took to investigate the legitimacy of my complaint - including and especially IT records of his internet traffic and pertinent emails while using his office computer in Strickland's faith-based offices.

When somebody lodges a complaint that your employee is using the internet to compulsively sexually harass and stalk in a manner that is intended to be threatening, the employer would call their IT department to check the history of his internet traffic.

Not to do so would be negligence. I've said all along - they went from not believing me to removing McFadden within days. They did an investigation and they found something.

Why was this man shuffled to a prison and then brought back into politics to do faith-based outreach for Ted Strickland and Hillary Clinton? Especially in light of the fact that they are trying to claim they fired him because he stunk at it.

Their story doesn't gel.

I suspect there is more to this than Mcfadden's various Sex Consumer Review Initiatives to direct traffic to a Brewery District Brothel.

Among his prostitutes was a 17 year-old girl whom McFadden met on Craig's list. He groomed her, took provocative and obscene photos of her & promoted her career.

Could it be possible that the tentacles of the money and sex are in some way wrapped around the rope and perks they gave McFadden?

Could McFadden have pimped out the teenager to some highly placed political people who then felt they needed to keep McFadden happy and employed to cover their gluteus maximus?

Seems to me the Democratic political establishment was keeping him employed no matter how egregious or lethal his conduct became.

For instance, it's a well-known story in the Ohio prostitute world that in 2006, during McFadden's employment with Catholics for the Common Good and prior to his employment in Strickland's office, a police report was filed by a woman claiming McFadden had kidnapped her, held her hostage and then was harassing her by telephone.

Details from the Columbus Ohio police report include two charges:

1. Telecommunications Harassment
2. Kidnapping

- and summary narrative:

VICTIM ALLEGES THAT SHE WAS HELD AGAINST HER WILL AT LISTED ADDRESS (RED ROOF INN) BY LISTED SUSPECT, AFTER HE/SUSPECT MADE A APPOINTMENT WITH SAID VICTIM FOR A "PRIVATE DANCE". VICTIM FURTHER ALLEGES THAT SINCE SAID INCIDENT, THE SUSPECT HAS BEEN CALLING HER BY TELEPHONE AND HARASSING HER.

I believe April of 2006 was about the same time he escalated his stalking and harassing with me that precipitated my call to the Columbus police. He was on a roll.

If McFadden was so lousy at faith-based outreach why would they rehire him? Why would Robert Kennedy Jr and Kathleen Townsend be using McFadden as their Clinton operation base in Ohio?

There was also a mystery surrounding McFadden's peculiar and swift departure from his post-Hillary appointment on the Paula Brooks campaign. Has anyone contacted Brooks to find out whether his sex, stalking or conduct intended to threaten manifested itself in any way?

As soon as I get the FOIA request completed, I'll post it. Turnaround time for that is customarily three days.

Stay tuned for more details for McFadden's Catholic Common Good Initiatives.

By the way, take a good look at the photograph in this post of the Brewery Brothel District. The irony that he spent his career trying to claim his motivations were inspired by his zeal for social justice to help the poor does not go unnoticed.

+++UPDATE

I've been sent information that while under the employ of "Catholics United", Eric McFadden claimed Bishop Frederick Campbell had called McFadden in to terrorize:

I'm redacting information of the victims of "Catholics United" - but the following letter was sent to Fr. Pavone in an attempt to get help after being bullied by the sociopath & sex predator during a mail drop in the 2008 elections:

Dear Fr. Pavone:

I worked with the Catholic Coalition for McCain here in Columbus, Ohio.

Preparing for the Catholic Coalition Literature drop on Sunday, Nov. 2nd, we read with assurance that you had contacted Catholics United and indicated you'd consider legal action if prolifers around the country were prevented from exercising our freedom of speech on public access church parking lots.

The harrassment, intimidation and stalking many "teams" of prolifers in Columbus diocese experienced at the hands of Eric McFadden, a wayward Knight of Columbus - who started "Knights for Obama" was despicable and embarrassing to all of us.

Many of the women were shocked and shaken by his verbal threats, taking photos of them and their car license plates. He also physically blocked them in and prevented them from moving off the parking lot.

He will be charged in both Upper Arlington, Ohio and Columbus, Ohio (as it happened in churches in both cities) He claimed he worked for our bishop, Fredrick Campbell. He most likely was called by several of the priests because he seemed to keep showing up at several parishes that we had trouble with angry priests.

Two interesting revelations in this letter.

One, McFadden was under the employ of Catholics United.

Two, Bishop Frederick Campbell and some of the priests in his diocese were employing "Catholics United", and in fact a pimp and sexual predator to use threats and intimidating conduct to prohibit Catholics from distributing the teachings of the Church in parishes where wayward priests are misleading their flocks.

I'm trying to extract the names of the priests in the diocese from the victims to publish - as well as include in the paper trail I'll be sending to the USCCB

I'll also be calling contacting the spokesperson for the Bishop to let him know the kind of characters "Catholics United" uses to intimidate and threaten and let him know I intend on filing a formal complaint against him at the USCCB office for "protecting children". Not only does it sound like he didn't go through a CORI process, if he's willing to use thuggery of sexual sociopaths to silence adult faithful Catholics - I don't think children are very "safe" in his diocese.

In case I've not made it clear kind of character Bishop Campbell and his priests used, the following post from McFadden's sex reviews should clear up any confusion. The man was so sexually obsessed, he had sex with three prostitutes in one evening. I hope the priests didn't let McFadden use the rest rooms where children are vulnerable:

The Passion of the Kmiec -(Venite Adoramus was a song about him)

Jay Anderson has an update on what he accurately calls the passion of the Kmiec. He claims to be in the running to be Obama's Vatican Ambassador.

"At the appropriate time, when diplomatic relations through the State Department need to be addressed, I think my name would be part of the discussion."

Kmiec, of course, thought Fr. Neuhaus's death was all about him, so while there is a possibility he is misreading the writing on the wall, I think Obama's good old boy network will reward him.

Jay linked some good comments which memorialize Kmiec's "popularity" among Catholics of good will.

Of course he would think that. Everything is always about him. The question is is Pres Obama stupid enough to appoint him?

Prior to Obama's reversal on the Mexico City Policy I had a conversation with some work colleagues yesterday who are Obama fans. "Leading off his Presidency with an abortion issue would be stupid and Obama is not stupid.", my friend remarked.

Kmiec's writings betray the narcissistic trait of turning everything that happens into something about him. So, yeah, I think Kmiec misquoted the teachings of the Church not so much as a favor to Obama (and was certainly the antithesis of a service to Christ's Church), but to get something out of it for himself because that is what narcissists do. That's their shtick.

Obama Casts Abortion Net Into the Deep

Reverses Mexico City Policy

I get it. If you're trying to reduce something increase subsidies to it.

He could be onto something.

1. Reduce alcoholism: Increase government subsidies for Jack Daniels to poor people who can't afford it.

2. Reduce cancer: Increase government subsidies for Marlboro - Camels if you are a minority.

3. Reduce nuclear weapons: spend 461 million on atomic bombs.

The man is as disingenuous as we had suspected.

Boston Mom Accuses McFadden's Previous Employers of Cover Up

.- A Boston-area Catholic woman is accusing a social justice group of ignoring her warnings that a former employee, who is now jailed under prostitution-related charges, was a danger to women. She also claims that she was threatened with a lawsuit if she made her accusations public, an allegation the group denies.

Carol McKinley, a Boston-area mother and national pro-life activist, told CNA in a phone interview that she first contacted Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good (CACG) during the first week of February, 2007 to warn them about harassing behavior by Eric McFadden.

McFadden, who was arrested January 14, 2009 on seven charges related to promoting prostitution, was in the midst of leaving CACG when McKinley first called to report the harassment.

Actually, when I first contacted them on February 4th - nobody mentioned that McFadden had resigned from CACG. There are no crystal balls at the McKinley abode, but I never bought that story, just as I don't buy it from Strickland's office. Even Kelley's own story supports the fact that McFadden left five days after I sent my first correspondence.

Alexia Kelley, the Executive Director of Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good, told CNA in an email that “Carol McKinley sent correspondence to our offices on February 5, 2007. By that date, Eric McFadden had already submitted his resignation. His last day as an employee with Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good was February 9, 2007.”

When CNA asked Kelley if McFadden exhibited any strange behavior that led to his resignation, she replied, “No he did not.”

See no evil, hear no evil.

According to McKinley, when she spoke with Kelley, she informed her of intimidating messages allegedly left by McFadden on her blog as well as emails sent from his personal email account.

There is no doubt in her mind, says McKinley, that the comments were left by McFadden because she would receive comments on her blog, and then on the same day, emails containing identical comments from McFadden’s personal email account.

Using tracking software on her website, McKinley was able to determine that she was receiving visits from the same IP address in Dublin, Ohio “nearly every five minutes.” On one particular day, she registered 82 visits from the Dublin address.

A copy of the email Carol McKinley sent to Kelley on February 5, 2007 detailed some of McFadden’s alleged rants and was obtained by CNA.

McFadden reportedly commented:

“Carol an other whack jobs come nowhere close to the message of love of Pope John Paul II. Do not soil his name by associating him with the heretic whack jobs. There is nothing Democratic here. It is the Republican Party that twists the life issue to fit its own sick agenda that is not in line with Church teaching. People like the witch Carol who aligned themselves with the Republican party have placed themselves in a state of excommunication and will be dealt with by Cannon law.”

“A law suit according to Cannon law has been filed. The heretic McKinley will be brought before the witches council for trial before the next full moon.”

Other messages, according to McKinley, accused her of being a “practicing lesbian” who donated to gay and lesbian groups and was not in accord with the Church’s teaching.

McKinley explained to CNA that, “I was extremely concerned that McFadden was victimizing other people, that his tone to me included strange sexual nuances and bizarre commentary that were the utterings of a very unbalanced man.”

However, McKinley claims that when she contacted Kelley, instead of addressing her concerns, Kelley retorted that Eric McFadden no longer worked for Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good and that if she made her allegations against McFadden public, she would be served with a lawsuit.

Kelley remembers the situation differently, saying she was alarmed to hear McKinley’s allegations, but that when she attempted to verify McKinley’s claims, she was unable to do so.

In hindsight, in light of McFadden's arrest and known behaviors, does this cause her to re-evalute the complaint made to her two years ago alleging McFadden was a predator?

She was "alarmed" that McFadden might be a predator but she invited McFadden and Patrick Whelan in their new initiative "Catholic Democrats"to take a leadership role in her 2008 how to vote for an abortionist Catholic Conference.

Two things of note in the above links, Patrick Whelan is frantically trying to erase any weblinks of Catholic Democrats that reference McFadden as his co-founder so you have to get that in caches - - and note McFadden's wiggy comment when NCR misplaces the crown of who's who in the Catholics for Kerry shtick. (n.b. Now that we know he was coming up for air from the back seat of his car between prostitute runs to post the comment, his notations about anyone elses "sex scandal" is tasteless.)

The Catholics in Alliance director also denied that anyone at her organization threatened to sue McKinley. “We said that we would refer the matter to our lawyer, one of whom she had already written on 2/5/07. We never threatened a lawsuit; and never said anything about her going public or not.”

McKinley remains adamant that her phone conversation with Kelley transpired differently.

“If McFadden tendered his resignation prior to February 5th, why would she take a complaint on February 5th against a former employee? Typically, employers will say ‘so and so is no longer an employee.’ I stand by my testimony. Alexia was rude to me, said Eric did a great job for them, that I was trying to destroy the reputation of a ‘good man’ and that I should brace myself for litigation if I pursued these allegations,” she said.

“I stand by my testimony. CACG protected and enabled Mr. McFadden and threatened the complainant. Laity needs to be held to the same standard as we hold priests and Bishops,” McKinley affirmed to CNA in an email.

Chris Korzen, Executive Director of Catholics United, was also a part of the conversation with McKinley since his organization is formally related to CACG.

Mrs. McKinley, who is employed as a legal assistant, claimed that Korzen would not give her an email address or a physical address for CACG's corporate lawyer so that she could notify the lawyer of the danger posed by McFadden.

CNA contacted Korzen on Monday, but he said that he did not have any information that would be useful and would not speak on record about the allegations.

During the course of her correspondence with Korzen, McKinley said that she had explained how in the summer of 2006 she contacted the police department in Columbus, Ohio because she was afraid McFadden’s words would turn into physical retaliation.

The Columbus police, McKinley said, told her that she would have to deal with McFadden locally by taking out a restraining order against him at the Boston Police Department. McKinley did not file a restraining order, reasoning that since she believed McFadden to be “criminally insane,” and that it would only make him “all the more dangerous.”

This cover up for her enabling a predator pretty much sews up whether her story is credible:

As far as Catholics in Alliance is concerned, the allegations against McFadden were out of their court once McKinley called the police. Kelley explained to CNA in an email that, “we deferred to them as law enforcement authorities to conduct an investigation. However, Catholics in Alliance was never contacted by them.”

Read my letter to them again.

In it, I say that in the past, I had found McFadden's behavior so threatening that I had called the police, that I had decided at that I would be safer not to pursue that course of action. She knew my contact with her and the allegations I was making was not under any police investigation.

Kelley also adds that, “at no time” did anyone associated with CACG “instruct Mr. McFadden to communicate with Ms. McKinley in any way” and that they “would never condone such actions.”

That is a straw man's argument and doesn't comport with the laws.

When your business is about executing political strategy and you hire an employee whose political strategy is to threaten, send numerous and compulsive messages with concepts that are unhinged, with inappropriate and peculiar sexual nuances - whether you condone it or not is moot. That's the nature of her business. There's a little thing called negligent hiring and negligent supervision that actually holds the employers accountable for such things.

Like, when the taxi company hires a drunk and they drive into a tree on the way to airport.

Or when a Bishop ordains a pedophile.

“In any event, it is extremely unfortunate that such vitriolic exchanges took place. As Catholics committed to promoting the common good, we emphasize the need for individuals to debate their differences with civility and respect,” Kelley said.

Following his stint at Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good, Eric McFadden was hired by Ohio Governor Ted Strickland to head up his Office for Faith Based Initiatives.

Meanwhile, McKinley continued to receive harassing messages, leading her to email Strickland's office on October 10, 2007.

A little more than two weeks after McKinley made contact with the governor’s legal counsel Christine Thompson, McFadden had his pay cut and was transferred to the corrections department on Oct. 28, 2007, where he coordinated volunteer and outreach efforts for the prison system's faith-based services. McFadden held that position until March 2008 when his position was eliminated as a part of budget cuts.

Keith Dailey, Gov. Strickland’s spokesman, told the Cleveland Plain Dealer that McFadden’s departure from the position was due to his struggle with the job. "This was a leadership position and after some time it became clear it wasn't a good fit and it wasn't working out." "It was a mutually agreed decision," Dailey said.

McKinley explains her motivation for trying to expose McFadden’s past actions is not personal payback for the continual harassment she and her children endured. “I want these organizations to be held accountable for covering up McFadden’s behavior,” she said, charging that his previous employers are acting like some Catholic bishops did when priests were accused of sexual abuse.

Here are the million dollar questions:

Do the records of his compulsive sex postings indicate they were made during work hours of his tenure at Strickland's office?

When Strickland's staff got my complaint with information suggesting McFadden was an internet stalker and most likely a dangerous predator based upon my experiences - did they look at his internet traffic from his work computer?

If you hire a predator and you are given notice he is a predator and you threaten the complainant, enable him or shuffle him to a prison or in spite of the fact that you think he stinks at faith-outreach leadership positions, hire him a few months later in a Presidential campaign where you are stumping for Vice President, it's time for "change we can believe in".

When you reach the mountain: offer the gods their reward

Living in a liberal city and working in a major mission of social justice, many of my co-workers were celebrating this day. We, in fact, had a formal celebration from 11 to about 12:30 or so - everyone was invited to watch the inauguration on our big screen with pizza and refreshments.

Knowing tomorrow, Obama is going to begin his tenure by offering unborn children to their slaughter, I couldn't participate.

I boycotted the Olympics this year for humanitarian reasons too. I have a problem with putting up fake fronts on the sweat shops, the forced abortions and prohibitions on practicing Christianity - like it all doesn't exist as we walk by it to attend the sporting events.

Perhaps this is rumor - I hope that it is. But the compass of Obama's appointments points to a human rights issue with this administration and I just couldn't muster up a reason to attend with my coworkers, whom I cherish. I knew my absence would be glaring, my presence missed and I didn't want to be a sourpuss - but I couldn't do it. I did pray for his safety and our country and I was delighted with the Pope's message and blessing.

I went down after it was over to grab a few refreshments to be pleasant and friendly - and one of our V.P.'s lifted a glass to me and said "here is to our difference of opinion and still loving each other". Which we all do. I am going to a few celebrations after work with them this week - but I told them I was wearing my Jeb Bush in 2012 t-shirt...and I do have a picture of the same on my office door.

:O)

Holding lay people accountable for what they knew and when they knew it

I have been speaking with a few reporters who are gathering information to write about the knowledge I gave about Eric McFadden to Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good and Strickland's office starting in early 2007.

It's CYA time, and I suspect the one thing we are not going to hear as their response, is: "Yes, now that you mention it, we did have a credible accusation and we ignored it".

They're going to say they didn't believe it, which is exactly what laity, the press and a great many lawyers have been lambasting the Chanceries, Bishops and priests for, isn't it?

Saying "We didn't believe it" doesn't cut it when a 17 year old girl has been exploited, used and passed off to others to use.

In hindsight, now knowing McFadden's history of obsessions with pandering obscenities, sexuality, intimidation, threats and compelling a minor into prostitution - taking photos of her in his wife's car, might this cause them to re-evaluate the complaint made to them two years ago alleging he was a predator?

I've been thinking about Strickland's office story that it is a coincidence Eric left the faith-based office a day or two after I sent links to things Eric authored, IP addresses, direct quotes of Eric's and a summary of my fears he was a predator and McFadden left because he "couldn't lead a faith-based effort".

As I've said in a previous posting - that is nonsensical because Strickland rounded him up for faith-based outreach when he was running strategy with Hillary Clinton - in the important state of Ohio (in a campaign where he was the number one pick for VP).

Let's face it. After receiving my complaint, Strickland's legal and human resource team would not call Eric into the office and say "We got a letter saying you are weird and so we are letting you go".

They did their own investigation.

Considering my allegations that McFadden was doing his tormenting, threatening, sexual harassing, etc., via the internet - if they didn't call in the IT department and check out what kind of sites he was visiting, that would be a pretty serious negligence in investigation. Big brother watches, there is a recording of where you traffic.

I've been thinking something a commenter wrote in the comboxes:

A commenter posts below that he did some internet research on the names Eric McFadden was using to post his internet reviews of prostitutes.

It's hard to believe it's possible they were unaware of his double life and addiction to prostitutes just from what one can find if you search around and see how obsessive he was about it. That they were also warned by you, though, it's pretty damning.

I searched his name SullivantGuy and was taken to a still-active prostitution-review web site called USASexGuide (I assume this is a different site than the one he set up). In the Columbus, Ohio, section, McFadden can be seen obsessively posting his disgusting reviews for years! It actually appears that he was picking up hookers on an almost daily basis, and I saw that even other people posting on that site sometimes thought he was creepy and alleged he would be stalkerish to prostitutes.
Link here, but you probably don't wanna browse that stuff -- it's disturbing. It gives you a feel for why Columbus police are referring to him as the "guru" of prostitution in Columbus. He is someone with some severe problems, so severe I doubt they went unnoticed by Strickland's people.

With all the obsessive postings, I bet there's a trail of some he posted when he was supposedly at work at Strickland's office?

That would make it pretty damning that Strickland's office had the kind of evidence they had, along with a complaint - - - to shuffle him into a prison where inmates have a credibility problem when they bring forward an allegation of abuse? Giving him the promotion to do faith-based outreach for Hillary and Strickland's POTUS and VPOTUS campaign - - is all pretty disturbing.

According to the website the commenter found- under Broad Street guy, he posted 575 reviews. That's only one out of four persona. Sullivant Guy has 486 postings. Further, this site appears to be in addition to the site HE was operating. Some of those would appear to be during work hours and during his tenure at the Governor's office. The Governor is not going to reveal what they found, but certainly diligence and a spreadsheet of the months he worked for Strickland and dates/hours of his postings may get to an answer.

Here's a few I picked out...these need to check out with a calendar tomorrow but I'm betting some of them are work days?

Just to give you an idea of how creepy this guy was, he appeared to be making hay with the whores several times a week and some of those were several times a day. He sure was an early riser, no pun intended, as he repeatedly claims the best time to get the ones who take a bath and have clean clothes was between 5 and 8 in the morning. He sometimes describes seeking service from several of them in succession before he scooted off to work. No wonder this guy didn't have time for daily Mass or the gym.

(Ok, I'm being catty...moving right along...)

I'm going to post a few soundbytes to show just how creepy this guy was.

Sounds like some of them were ducking him. There's one post that he says he has to take one of the woman's shoes or purse so she won't ditch him? I'm trying to redact the sex talk but I hope I don't miss some of the lingo. Please let me know if I do and I'll redact it.

1. Best looking SW - Earlier this year I met _____ around Broad and Centeral - Killer body - saw her a couple other times, then she went down hill fast. Got nasty real fast. There were a couple others I met this past year that were just down right hot, but never saw them again. Possibly one timers or passing through.

2. Best Body - For me right now - this nice ________ on the hilltop. ______ is a close second

3. Best **** talent - _______ - I know she is new, well at least to me --- but damn this girl has skills.

4. Best Attitude - Giving the prize to the new girl again.

5. Worst Looking - I don't stop for em, so I don't get to know their names.

6. Worst Attitude - If they display a bad attitude - out the door they go.

Worst Attitude change to better- don't mess with attitude

Best Attitude change to worst- Don't hang with em for that change

Best Looking to bad- I agree with ________ on ______ - I simply pass her by now. - but the ______ I am refering to is a faster and worse dive. ________ on the west side took a nose dive as well. Oh yeah - I think _________ in the short north went south quick as well.

Worst ** to Best- if they are that bad - I ususally forget their name and don't give em a second chance

*

Ran around the west side for a bit early evening yesterday. Saw some regular skanks. Did not meet anybody I was interested in. ________number now goes straight to voice mail. Oh well. I did see 3 SW's on the wall near the Clark Station on Broad in the Hilltop. One was a blonde, older - total skank. The other was a pudgy platium blonde - not attractive at all, and the third was a thin brunette who actually look cute from afar (they all do) Upon closer inspection, I found out her name was ______ - but her teeth were not so great looking....

As for hours - I have found the best lately and the times I have actually met and had a good time is early morning - 5:30am to about 8am.

Stay safe

*

The storms woke me up this morning - so I went out for an early morning drive. First I met _____ - I had digits for her from a Sr Member, but they had not been working. She is early 30s. Pretty face. Great service. Have new digits for her for Sr. Members only. Met her on Sully in bottoms.

It had been awhile since I had a ***************, and _______ did do a great job, but I was still in need of some more ********. So after I dropped her off, I cruised around a bit. I met ______. I reported on her a while back. A very nice person and great attitude. Kind of cute in a very ******* sort of way. She was very clean today and had put on some weight. Said she just got out. She provided outstanding service for the second of the day. Sadly - no digits for Pam. Met her on Broad in the bottoms....

I did pull up on one on sully in the hilltop - that was kind of cute - then she opened her mouth and she had like one tooth! Sorry - Told her I thought she was someone I knew and rolled on.
*

Also ____ makes good points below about not fronting funds for the "__________". You have to think, if she comes out and actually does get in your car - what she will bring with her. Now if you really must take the chance and it is a girl you know and "trust", still cover your butt. Make her leave something of value to her in your car. Like her purse, if she has one or her shoes. If she won't do that. Forget it. Also don't sit there and wait - drive around the block and come back in 10 or so. If you really want to see this girl, the promise of more funds and holding something value will most likely make her reappear. I don't suggest this for the monger new to the scence. Know what you are doing before doing something risky. In the case of _________, holding the purse and shoes did the trick, and even though the service was crappy...
*

Two Fer

Out Saturday night - met ____ by ________ on Broad. Short hair brunette. Great skills. This girl is always clean and showered with clean clothes.

Then saw _______at Westpark and Sully. She was cleaned up today as well and tells me that she is not pregnant as she thought.

I suppose these posts could be considered faith-based outreach while working for Strickland's office:

OH BULL****T. Carter was in for 4 years - then you are telling me that 12 years of Reagan/Bush did nothing ....then 8 years of Clinton -and now 8 years of Bush and some how just the Democrats during that time did this..

Hope you have some boots on cause you are standing in some smelly s**t.

It is called Deregulation and it go worse because of the f***ing RETARD who is President. People voted for the ***hole because they thought they could drink a beer with him. Who wants Barney the drunk as President?

Dodd and Frank have only had those committees for the past two years = you act as if the Republican led congress prior to that had nothing to do with it.

The Democrats were unable to pass legislation as Bush blocked it for the past two years and the Republicans before that had their way - one party rule never works...

31 Similarities Between Hitler and President Bush....

When President Bush decided to invade Iraq, his spokesmen began comparing Saddam Hussein to Adolph Hitler, the most monstrous figure in modern history. Everybody was therefore shocked when a high German bureaucrat turned the tables by comparing Bush himself with Hitler. As to be expected, she (the bureaucrat) was forced to resign because of her extreme disrespect for an American president. However, the resemblance sticks--there are too many similarities to be ignored, some of which may be listed here.

People who want abortion tolerated as a nation are liars

Bishop Vasa has a way with words.

“Beloved, we love God because He first loved us. If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ but hates his brother, he is a liar; for whoever does not love a brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. This is the commandment we have from Him: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.”

We of the Catholic faith certainly know that love of God is central to our tenets, this is the appealing part. It is hard to imagine a Catholic saying, “I am a Catholic in good standing but I do not love God.” But the inspired scriptures tell us that whoever does not love his brother or neighbor does not and, indeed, cannot love God. This is the challenging part. The people of Jesus’ day understood this and it was this understanding that prompted them to ask, “And who is my neighbor?” For all of us, and especially for Catholic legislators in every strata of government, it is necessary to declare, in conformity with the Natural Law and the teaching of the Catholic Church that, the pre-born child is our brother, our sister, our neighbor!
The propensity to thwart justice for the unborn by saying it's divisive to oppose abortion and better to find ways to "reduce it" is as phony as a three dollar bill.

Killing another human being is a humanitarian issue that must be stopped all together.

That's why we shut down Auschwitz instead of finding ways to limit the people sent there.

Political cronies using the sound byte that any kind of subsidy/support programs that we can provide to a woman facing an unplanned pregnancy at an inconvenient time in her life would "reduce" abortion is nonsense.

It takes 70 thousand dollars a year to house, clothe, feed and take care of a child.

There are only two milestones that will adequately reduce abortion and one of them is already in place.

1. Making killing an unborn child illegal.
2. Adoption Agencies.

Another silly excuse for preventing the nation from outlawing killing unborn is that women will do it under the radar and place their own lives in danger.

The most selfish breed of women may indeed refuse to see that abortion is killing, and killing is illegal.

People are going to rape other people even thought it is illegal, but as a nation we do not keep it legal and find ways to reduce it. As a nation, we do not tolerate rape.

Plenty of people still operate a Klu Klux Klan under the radar too, but as a nation - we do not tolerate it.

What we uphold as law as a nation implies that it is moral and good.

I can't think of another law that wouldn't fit the description that as a nation we implied that the particular law is just, moral and good.

Here's something you'll never see:

The peace and justice crowd saying efforts to outlaw the death penalty are divisive and we should find ways to "reduce it".

You'll never hear anyone saying people are going to abuse children if we outlaw it, so let's legalize it and limit our efforts into finding ways to reduce it.

There is no love involved for our brothers and sisters if we tolerate child abuse and killing them is the worst form of evil to a child imaginable.

It's a lie to tolerate legal killing and claim that you are obeying the Commandment to love God and love your brother as you love yourself.

The whole thing is a lie, not to mention craven.

It may sound a little strong to state that legislators “hate” the pre-born child but hate is an absence of love and love means to wish another well. There is nothing about abortion that wishes the pre-born child well. The preservation of abortion “rights” is already an absence of love for the pre-born child but the passage of FOCA could be construed as nothing less than active and positive disregard, even hatred, for these our brothers and sisters. To paraphrase St. John, “If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ but votes for FOCA, thus showing a disregard for his pre-born brother or sister, he is a liar.” Lots of things can be rationalized in government but I do not see any way in which any Catholic could rationalize or justify an affirmative vote for FOCA.

My Shepherd, Drowning Me in Love Beyond My Power to Hold

Recovering the Sacrament of Confession

Nice story from CNA about Vatican encouragment to recover the Sacrament of Confession.

The Vatican congregation in charge of overseeing the Sacrament of Reconciliation as well as the granting of indulgences has just finished a conference in Rome. The aim of the meeting was help people recover “the joy of the personal experience of the mercy of God” and to encourage priests to make this a priority.

According to the L’Osservatore Romano, the event which took place January 13 and 14 was, in the words of the head of the Apostolic Penitentary, Cardinal Francis Stafford, an occasion “to offer to the men and women of today, immersed in a post-modern culture, the opportunity to reflect profoundly on their interior life and ask God for forgiveness for the ‘abuse of power’ that is in their hands.”

“Our objective,” he said, “is to reflect deeply on the pastoral meaning of our Tribunal and why the Church, in her wisdom, created this tribunal of mercy. My hope is that the answer has been clear in these two days of meeting and conversation.”

The Vatican newspaper also quoted Manlio Sodi of the Salesian Pontifical University, who led a round-table discussing during the Symposium and said the issue of penitential services and general confessions, which are more common in North America, are “rites that fundamentally alter the very foundations of the personal act of Confession.”

The one little glitch that is gumming this up is an underlying unwillingness to preach instructions to the faithful on what is sinful so that people practicing their faith in earnest will make their way to the confessional.

People sitting in the pews believe they can be and they are saved by simply being kind and nice and not littering.

They believe they can be unfaithful to God, skip Mass, be promiscuous outside of the Sacrament of Marriage, encourage abortion, support and legislate abortion, use contraception, etc., without ever having a repentant heart for betraying and hurting Christ and seeking his forgiveness. Their conscience is never groomed to seek repentance and so they don't. The consequences and turmoil in their happiness and their lives, their friendships, their holiness, their discretion - all gains momentum until they are miserable. Meanwhile the priests are telling them all of the things they are doing are gaining favor with God. This puts a mountain of confusion between the sinner and God. But, so long as the priests can make nice chatter, they are satisfied with their vocation.

L’Osservatore Romano also pointed out that the “traditional rite of Confession underscores the aspect of liberation which divine mercy freely offers to the penitent who wishes to be reconciled with God.”

Priests can't have it both ways. In order for their flock to reconcile with God, they have to go through the process of getting upset and angry at the person giving them the guidance that takes away their fun, things they enjoy, things they are doing which they believe are in their best interests. This always results in affecting the priest's relationship with people they would prefer to just have pleasant conversations with and be popular amongst.

Like a parent, who has to teach their teenagers virtues from sin, right from wrong, truth from lies, and sometimes, it doesn't blow over very well. Their children will sometimes resent it, get mad at them, maybe even affect the pleasantness of their exchanges. Those things are always temporary - though they make take years for the children to have an epiphany, they always do. It's the sacrifice and hard work that stinks about relationships. All relationships.

I remember getting a card on my 40th birthday that said on the front cover "The worst thing about turning 40" and on the inside "was realizing my mother was right"!

I'm not implying we are compelled to respond to every situation by quoting the Catechism. There are people and situations that are inappropriate to respond in this way. even with our children and our friends. But if we have our ear in tune to the Holy Spirit, He guides us on the when and wheres and hows. Sometimes, we can even manage to muck that up.

Priests have a different duty. That's why they are celibate. That is the meaning of devoting themselves to being intimately connected with God above all things and people. So, that when he is rebuffed, it rolls off his back with the knowledge that some day the seeds he has planted will bring fruit. He may never get to see it or it may take decades. But, if the individual wakes up in the muck and mire that a life without connections to God brings and wants to reconcile with God, they will find their way to that confessional.

Keep warm kiddies!

I am off to the gym!

A Whole New Meaning to Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good

I've written to Tom Fox from the National Catholic Reporter whose story on McFadden has a quote from Catholics in the Alliance for the Common Good.

Should give a whole new meaning to catholic alliance for the common good, catholics united, Catholic faithful citizenship.

"Jennifer Goff, director of communications for Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good, told NCR that members of the organization were "incredibly saddened and shocked" by the news of McFadden’s charges and arrest. She said, "We are praying for anyone involved or harmed in this situation, and for Mr. McFadden and his family."

Tom,

I beg your pardon, but the above publicity statement indicating they are shocked and saddened that McFadden turned out to be a dangerous person to women does not comport with the facts.

In February of 2007, I communicated with Alexia Kelley, Chris Korzen and their attorney to bring to their attention McFadden's compulsive stalking conduct which was tinged with bullying and sexual nuances that were threatening enough that I made a phone call to the Columbus police - and I asked for them to intercede. I mentioned that I was very concerned that he may be victimizing others.

I have attached proof of my communications with them from February of 2007 making the dangerous person McFadden was known to them. I also had phone conversations with them during that time.
The Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good, threatened me with a lawsuit if I divulged any such information and I was dismissed.

Stay tuned to my blog for updated details on my communications with them and with Governor Strickland's office, who is also misleading people into thinking they had never had any kind of notification of dangerous behavior and now they are shocked and saddened.

Victims of this man and the people who empowered him do not have to be afraid anymore.

Carol McKinley

By the way, Can you catch the sentiments of the organization McFadden ran with "Catholic Democrats" in their response:

Upon hearing of the arrest, the organization, Catholic Democrats reacted saying that it is “sad news” that a “committed Catholic Democrat” has been arrested under such accusations.

Is it me, or does this stink of implying the accusations are part of a right wing conspiracy against a committed Catholic lobbyist drummed up by the Republicans?

Even my own cynicism did not adequately prepare me for the disingenuous responses of these various characters.

***UPDATE

Didn't hear back from Tom Fox-but I did send him another email to let him know how compelling this story is and how important it is to Catholics to thoroughly weed out anyone who protects predators and threatens complainants. We do not put up with this with our priests and Bishops and we must not put up with it from lay organizations.

Tom,

I hope you had a good weekend and I'm looking forward to touching base with you.

We don't let priests or Bishops get away with protecting predators and we must not let lay people get away with it.

I've added the below comments to your story and I would greatly appreciate an email back to me so that we can arrange to speak.

Allow me to make myself perfectly clear.

The Catholic Alliance for the Common Good had information that they were employing and empowering a dangerous predator in February of 2007. Instead of doing something about it, they threatened the complainant.

This is outrageous conduct and conduct that we should hold them accountable for as Roman Catholics. There is a history that these individuals will protect a predator and threaten the person complaining about that predator.

Now McFadden stands accused of compelling prostitution of minors, along with other charges. Compelling prostitution, as in using threats and coercion. My letters made perfectly clear that McFadden was a time bomb and that I feared and had concern for victims in the future and I told them that they should have concern as well.

Since the National Catholic Reporter has given a platform to Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good in many of your stories, you have a duty to get out to your readers the internal corruption of this group and the dangers they present.

My letters to the Catholic Alliance for the Common Good regarding the dangerous person they were employing can now be found at the website below.

I've written to Tom Fox and I do hope to hear from him regarding this situation.
